![]() CAP BIOS, the USB Flash button LED stays solid. Just after that, when I want to flash to a. Flash using the BIOS converter, no problems. So I have been troubleshooting last night and still can't find the solution especially in the BIOS flash via USB Flashback. When I press start, the CPU LED lit up in red with the QLED is at 00 (Not Used) which means the processor is not supported right? I just purchased a new ASUS P9X79 Pro mobo. The CPU fan is connected to the CPU Fan connector. Lady Fitzgeralds Rig CPU: i7-3930k Motherboard: ASUS P9X79 WS GPU: MSI. GPU all connected to the PCI-E cables, HDD to its SATA and power cable. 2 SSD mounting Screw kit for ASUS Motherboards,AVERZELLA,Computer Screws. PSU I have checked, the CPU 8 pin has been connected, 24pin connector has been connected. Then I tried setting up the rest, RAMS, GPU, my HSF and HDD. The ASUS guide didn't really say anything else. Once it is done, I tried to flash it and the USB BIOS Flash button only blinked once and stays solid. Then I tried to download the latest BIOS (47) and used the BRenamer (also from ASUS website) to rename the BIOS to P9X79PRO.CAP. In the guide provided by ASUS, it states that the motherboard needs to reboot twice for the conversion to be successful, the thing is how can I proceed if the motherboard BIOS doesn't support my processor YET. This one I feel that I did it correctly as it keeps on blinking and doesn't stay solid throughout.Īfter it is done, this is where my confusion comes. So first of all, I downloaded the ASUS BIOS converter from ASUS Website and rename it to P9X79PRO.ROM, put it into a 8GB pendrive formatted to FAT32 filesystem and slotted it into the white USB at the back and press the USB BIOS button for 3 seconds until it started to blink. CAP to support Windows 8 and etc etc and also the new processor. ![]() The BIOS that comes with the mobo is an old version (.ROM (1104)) and I will need to convert it to the new. ![]() I am currently building a rig with an ASUS P9X79 PRO with a Core i7 4820k processor. ![]()
